Dear Parents/Caregivers,
This communication is aimed at seeking your Expression of Interest for your child to attend the Year 3 overnight camp in Week 7 of Term 4.
The camp will be held at YMCA Camp Warawee 81 (81 Byrnes Road North, Joyner QLD 4500), from Thursday 20 November to Friday 21 November. This camp forms part of our Outdoor Education and Pastoral Care programs.
The children will be involved in a variety of activities in which the camp specialises. These include outdoor pursuits such as the Blue Gum Tree Climb Challenge, Archery, Tyre Tubing, Catapult Challenge, Low Ropes, Team Games, as well as activities with historical and cultural education providers. These activities are run by specially trained staff who work with the Windsor State School teachers. The focus of the camp is to build independence, confidence, team building skills, cooperation, persistence and resilience in a safe yet challenging environment. The activities at camp also directly link to the content descriptions taught in Year 3 Curriculum at Windsor State School.
The estimated cost of the camp is approx. $222.00 which includes food, accommodation, camp activity costs and bus travel to and from Camp North Pine.

Do not send money yet- invoices will be issued with exact costs closer to the event. Parents and students will be informed as to the specific details closer to the camp time. If you would like express interest for your child to attend, please complete this online form by Monday 2nd June. Parents will be invoiced with the exact cost closer to the event, along with a letter outlining other relevant information.
In previous years, the Year 3 Camp has always been a huge success, and the children thoroughly enjoyed the experience. This year, we would like every Year 3 student to have the opportunity to attend. If you would prefer to pay the cost in smaller instalments leading up to the camp, please indicate this when completing the online form.
