QLD Schools Library Week Competition

The Competition has now closed and we have selected Layla’s drawing of Songlines (written by Margo Neale and Lynne Kelly) to represent Windsor SS for Prep – 2 and Poppy in 6B for her vibrant drawing of a book displaying a window to the world, this year’s theme for QLD Schools Library Week. Well Done to these two students, best of luck for the state judging.

Book Club Issue 1 delivered

Most of our Book Club orders arrived last week, which saw our dedicated Library Teacher-Aide Mrs Olivieri unpack, check off and distribute twenty-two boxes in one day, all whilst helping classes with borrowing throughout the day. Thank You Mrs Olivieri for always going above and beyond!

Captains Corner

We are in the process of setting up a Captains Corner for our Library captains, Fern and Joshua where they will display some of their favourite books. Students and parents, please feel free to borrow from their recommendations.

Cameron Stelzer Visit

Year 3 and 5 students participated in a workshop on Monday with Dr Cameron Stelzer. They have the chance to order signed books from an order form they received. Their order forms were due in this week. Please head to https://bookpayment.com.au/ to pay for your order. We are hopeful that these orders will be fulfilled by the end of next week.
