Premier’s Reading Challenge
The Premier’s Reading Challenge for 2025 helps to encourage students to develop a love of reading.
Children and students can participate in the challenge by recording each book they read from May until August 22.
The form can be downloaded and then printed from the following link:
https://readingchallenge.education.qld.gov.au/register/Documents/school-reader-record-form.pdf
Students who complete the challenge have their efforts recognised with a Certificate of Achievement which will be distributed in October. We are bringing some house spirit to the challenge this year, more details will follow in the next newsletter
National Simultaneous Storytime
We are getting excited about the upcoming Simultaneous Storytime on May 21. As this year’s story centres around a cat called Tinka, we would LOVE to see photos of your cat as part of our display for National Simultaneous Storytime. Please email a photo of your cat to: smatt48@eq.edu.au Don’t forget to come along and check out the display as well as read The Truck Cat story. The Library is open everyday from 8:30am, we’d love to see you there soon.
Book Club
Term 2 Book Club orders have been delivered. There were some orders that were placed after the cut off date in May. These will be arriving soon. Thank you Mrs Olivieri for your efforts in sorting so many orders so quickly for our students! We really appreciate every order made as it provides rewards for the Library in the form of new books.
