This day is a “fun” day where the children take part in events that prepare them for more traditional athletics and field events in later years. The following schedule outlines the events and is to be used as a guide only. The Prep-2 Carnival is quite flexible with some of the sessions finishing earlier, or later, depending on how long each event takes.

What students are to wear:

All students are to wear their House Sports Shirt, School Shorts/Skorts, Joggers and School Hat. Please ensure all hats and jumpers are named in case they are misplaced. 

What students need to bring:

• Hat (clearly named)
• Water bottle (clearly named)
• Sunscreen (please also apply before school)
• Morning Tea and/or Lunch

8:55am            Meet in classroom. Mark rolls and walk to school top oval.

Session 1        

9.15am            Tabloid Games - Rotational Activities

11:15am          Student BBQ Lunch- Eaten in Usual Eating Areas

                         Parents welcome to remain in undercover areas adjacent to

                         School Hall or on bottom oval during break time 

11:40am           Students assemble on Top Oval into House Groups

                          March Past from Top Oval to first sprints activity

Session 2         Sprinting Races and Hurdle events.

1:00pm             Conclusion/Pack Up

Parents, if you choose to take your child home after Sports Day before the 3.00pm bell, it is essential that you sign them out by making contact with your child’s class teacher. Each teacher will have a sign out sheet for their own class on the day.

With that said, being a school day, we would encourage all students to remain at Windsor SS until the end of the school day as per normal routine.
