The Sustainable Garden
Did you know? ...
We are so grateful for our wonderful volunteers who support our sustainable garden. Your time, care and energy make a real difference, whether it's weeding, planting, compost work or guiding students. The garden is thriving thanks to your help, and we truly appreciate all that you do to help it grow and flourish.

Did you know? ...
Our sustainable garden is full of life and learning! Students have been busy with a range of important tasks. They help manage our compost, carefully balancing carbon-rich “browns” and nitrogen-rich “greens” to keep it healthy. They test soil moisture to decide which beds or pots need watering. New native and bee-attracting flower seeds are being sown, helping to support local pollinators. Students have also been rebuilding and maintaining our bean and pea teepee. Through weeding, watering, and refreshing garden beds, they’re developing teamwork skills, responsibility, and a deep appreciation for nature, all while helping our garden grow strong and sustainable.

Have a Great 5Rs Week!
