Year 6 Canberra Senior Trip- Thank You & PACER Rebate

Students from our school recently undertook an education tour of the national capital. Students were given the opportunity to participate in a variety of educational programs with a focus on Australia’s history, culture, heritage, and democracy. The Australian Government recognises the importance of all young Australians being able to visit the national capital as part of their Civics and Citizenship education. To assist families in meeting the cost of the excursion the Australian Government is contributing funding to our school in the amount of $90 per student under the Parliament and Civics Education Rebate program towards those costs. The rebate is paid directly to the school upon completion of the excursion. This is reduced from the overall price charged to parents and carers for the provision of the excursion.

A special thank you to all parents and carers who supported this trip as well as all of our dedicated staff who embarked on the journey. Amanda Vincenzi, Kellie Robertson, Scott Shearer, Stephanie Arthur, Nicole Dwan, Simon Kurtz, Tony Johnson and Shona Arneil were on hand to ensure that our students learned a lot and made memories that will last them a lifetime. These trips help strengthen our students, our school, our community and our national identify.
