Students have been learning how to check if the garden soil needs water. By feeling the soil with their fingers, they discovered how to tell when it is dry near the surface or still damp underneath. This simple test helps us decide when to water, making sure plants get just the right amount while also saving water. Students have learnt that sometimes it takes a lot of watering can trips for a bed to be thoroughly watered.

Did you know? ...

Our flower garden is bursting with colour as we reach the end of term! Snapdragons and other bright blooms like salvia and alyssiums are in full display, attracting bees and other pollinators. The garden is a lively, buzzing space, showing students the beauty and importance of flowers in supporting our environment.
