Welcome back to Term 4 and all the busyness and excitement that goes with the end of the year. 

This term, all year levels are examining persuasion in their English units in varying degrees. From Preppies giving a preference all the way to Year 6 where they analyse and compare travel advertisements and then create their own. So, look out for super persuaders coming home to work their magic. Students generally really enjoy persuasive topics because they are already pretty expert at it and the topics are usually of high interest. This allows us to focus in on the literacy aspects with greater depth and round out the year with all that they have learnt. 

You will see curriculum newsletters arriving in your inboxes in the next few days, if they haven't already be sent out. These are a great way to get a snapshot of what your child is studying in each subject as well as the tips and tricks teachers might advise you do to support your child in that learning. They can be good prompts for discussions about what is being learnt and/or for extending your child's learning at home by investigating topics further. 

From next issue, we will start to take a peek into some year levels to see what they have been up to.
